Hamilton CapTel© “Walk About” nets more than 1 million steps at 2015 HLAA Convention
(June 29, 2015)
June 29, 2015, Aurora, Neb. — Today Hamilton CapTel® announced that attendees of the 2015 Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) convention trekked a total of 1,155,844 steps, well exceeding the goal of one million.
Participants who stopped by either the Hamilton CapTel or Heroes With Hearing Loss® booth at this year’s convention in St. Louis, Missouri donned a pedometer as part of Hamilton CapTel’s “Walk About” initiative. They then tracked their steps as they hiked from seminars to training sessions.
As a result of the successful Walk About, Hamilton CapTel is donating $1,000 to HLAA’s national Walk4Hearing® program. This year the Walk4Hearing celebrates 10 years of walking for hearing loss awareness with 21 scheduled events throughout the country.
